Afterwards, you will be surprised by the glimpses rich in beauty of the villages of Allumiere, Tolfa and Bracciano and, last but not least, that of Cerveteri.
The wealth of monuments, palaces and churches testify to the importance that these towns had in the past centuries, when commercial and productive activities had made them rich and powerful. Under the papal govenment these places were govened by important noble families, such as the Orsini, Odescalchi, Chigi, Ruspoli etc.

The main reason for arriving in Civitavecchia is undoubtedly the port. In the area of the monumental port it will be possible to deepen the knowledge of various monuments built over the centuries, such as Michelangelo's Fort, the Vanvittelli fountain, the Porta Livono, the ruins of the Ancient Fortress, the Darsena and the Fortino di San Pietro, better known as Molo del Lazzaretto. Furthermore, the churches in the area of the historic center of Civitavecchia preserve curiosities that cannot be overlooked. In fact, moving away from the historic center, with a comfortable walk you can reach the Church of the Holy Japanese Martyrs.
