Palazzo Panetti is the most imposing Renaissance residence in Tolfa, with a charming courtyard, which often hosts artistic installations during the annual “Tolfa arte” festival.
The structure is private and only the part consisting of the courtyard is accessible. Walking along the narrow street of via Annibal Caro, located outside the central area of the village, you arrive at the building located at number 37. The facade is characterized by bands that delimit the string course and coner bosses. The entrance portal is framed by stones of the same workmanship. The intenal courtyard is accessed by crossing a corridor that preserves the original flooring created by imitating the "herringbone work" of the Roman era. The courtyard is framed by the presence of a deep niche placed in a central position as well as by the loggia covered with cross vaults. The decoration of the main floor of the building is obtained thanks to the altenation of yellow and red bricks
