The palace stands in the upper part of the town and, like other palaces in Tolfa, is characterised by a rustic and imposing structure.

The palace presents itself as a solid and sober construction. The structure is private, therefore it can be visited only when it is used for artistic installations during the annual festival of “Tolfaarte”. The residence was probably built by one of the contractors of the alum mines, later it was purchased by the Celli family, one of the oldest families of Tolfa.
The extenal façade is simple and linear, the interior is characterized by a courtyard that houses a cisten for collecting rainwater at the semi-basement level. This solution was created for numerous Renaissance buildings built in Tolfa
